Texas CLEC Deploys BridgeWave 10Gbps Wireless Radio System to Extend Network Rapidly and at One-Tenth the Cost of Fiber
BridgeWave Communications, a market leader in wireless backhaul systems, today announced that WireStar Networks, a “competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) and primary Internet service provider (ISP)”, deployed the BridgeWave Flex4G-10000 80GHz system within days to extend its fiber network in College Station, Texas, home to Texas A&M University. The BridgeWave Flex4G-10000 system provides fiber speed connectivity, reliability, and availability to a new residential apartment complex in the city, at one-tenth of the cost to trench new fiber to the location.
